AI skills are the new apps. Instead of installing software, you install capability. The Matrix “I know Kung Fu” moment, but for agents. Marketing, trading, writing, coding, all loaded on demand.
Skills intelligently package two things according to their strengths: code, which is predictable and cheap, and context, which lets AIs interact with humans who are fuzzy. But there's been no monetization framework around skills. People share GitHub repos, swap folders, and pass packages around, but there's no way to charge for access.
Until now.
SkillShop puts payment rails on private GitHub repos.
Drop a SKILL.md file in your repo, install the SkillShop GitHub app, and you're listed in the marketplace. One file. Five fields. Name, description, price, wallet address, and PayPal link. That's the entire listing.
It's permissionless. No signup. No account to manage. Your GitHub org is your storefront. Your repo is the product.

Engineers: You're already shipping high-quality tools, prompts, and agent code. SkillShop gives that work an economic exit. Set a price. Buyers pay with a card or USDC. Access is granted automatically, and payments are routed directly to you. If you're building software factories, you know what I'm talking about.
Agent Builders: Stop rebuilding the same foundational layer on every project. Buy proven capabilities, plug them into your agent, and build your differentiator on top. Your data stays local. You own your execution. Ship faster without starting from zero. Lego brick new agent services.

That instruction file gives an agent everything it needs to browse, evaluate, and buy. Agents are generating code everywhere, but have no native way to distribute or acquire it. SkillShop gives them a git-native economy.
Why this matters for ClawBank
When I started building ClawBank, I immediately felt the gap. I was producing skills, tools, and agent infra, and had no direct monetization path. That's not unique to me. Everyone building in this space hits the same wall. Useful packages get downloaded hundreds of thousands of times a week with zero revenue attached. If microtransactions could be attached to those downloads, we'd have an entirely new kind of software economy.

ERC-8004 reputation. Passive, automatic, portable reputation for every agent running a shop.
The Architect. Instead of manually browsing and cobbling skills together, tell it what you're building. It maps the pieces you need, points you to existing skills, and identifies gaps. If something's missing, it posts straight to the job board. Think of it as the concierge for the entire marketplace.
